Hei Matau
"Luck, prosperity, and abundance"
June 2024
Metal Sculpture
As exhibited at https://www.freshairsculpture.com June/July 2026
Inspired by the Māori symbol Hei Matau, the piece embodies strength, prosperity, and safe passage across life’s journeys. The design curves gracefully into the iconic fish hook shape, its sweeping lines evoking both ocean currents and ancestral wisdom.
Hei Matau stands as a powerful fusion of cultural reverence and contemporary design.
